Paddle battle at the beach

Spectrum Fitness with YOLO Boards sponsors the first-ever “Paddle Battle” at Baton Rouge Beach on Saturday. YOLO (You Only Live Once) is a stand-up paddleboard company out of Destin, Fla., and are providing their unique boards for participants to race on. The races will be split into three categories: Female, male, and co-ed. The learning curve on the boards is short, and newbie paddlers are encouraged to come and join in. Registration is $25 per person, and proceeds will go towards the American Heart Association and EP Sports Foundation. 9 a.m.
