Masters of harmony

The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra’s Masterworks Series starts the season strong at the River Center Theatre for the Performing Arts, with international piano soloist and LSU professor Michael Gurt. Gurt will lead the orchestra in performing pieces by Gershwin and Tchaikovsky, and even a groovy, honky-tonk piece by modern composer Aarok Jay Kernis.
