Winter ‘Whiteout’

If you ever find yourself as a federal agent tracking a dangerous killer on the run, and that killer makes it all the way down to Antarctica, just let him go, because man, he’s gone. Kate Beckinsale finds herself in a similar position in Whiteout, new in theaters this Friday. As the only U.S. Marshall assigned to Antarctica, she must investigate that continent’s first homicide. But time is running out. She has to find the killer within three days before the South Pole skies go black for winter. Based on Greg Rucka’s moody and desolate graphic novel, Whiteout is directed by Gone in 60 Seconds’ Dominic Sena, and co-stars Gabriel Macht and Tom Skerritt. Rated R.
