Nighttime creepy-crawlies with BREC

Sure, the swamp is interesting during the day, but have you ever been curious to see what comes alive at night? Now you and your kids can find out at BREC’s Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center. This Friday and next Friday, stalwart nature trekkers aged 7 and up can experience the magic of the swamp after dark, on an after-hours tour led by nature center staff. Spot alligators, bats, lightning bugs, and other nocturnal creepers along the way. Long pants, close-toed shoes, insect repellent and a flashlight are highly recommended. 7:45 p.m. – 9 p.m.
