A movie with ‘Heart’
Comedienne Charlene Yi doesn’t believe in love, so she decides to travel the country interviewing lots of folks who do. Folks like Seth Rogen, Demetri Martin and Jack Black. But a funny thing happens when she interviews Superbad’s Michael Cera: They hit it off. Part-documentary, part improvised dramedy, Paper Heart sees Yi and Cera talking to everyone from happily married couples, to young children, to divorce attorneys and chemists, picking their brains on the subject of love. Along the way, Yi’s pessimism is challenged at every turn, and she is forced to re-examine her belief in the human spirit and the bonds of affection and sacrifice. Yi co-wrote the film which is out this Friday in limited release, so check the local listings for availability. Rated PG-13.
