‘Getaway’ scar

Hawaii’s tourism board must not be thrilled with this film. Sure A Perfect Getaway shows off the lush, natural beauty of the islands, but it also populates said islands with murdering sociopaths. Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich star as a newlywed couple that skip the all-inclusive honeymoon package to hike through remote Pacific jungles. But soon they come across another backpacking group that has just discovered a pair of brutally murdered bodies.  When they get the feeling they are being followed, the newlyweds can’t trust anyone as they try to get off the island alive. Talk about Survivor. Written and directed by The Fugitive’s David Twohy, A Perfect Getaway co-stars Marley Shelton and Timothy Olyphant. Rated R.
