Round-up: Rotolos adds new locations … No expansions planned for B.R. Superior … Fish City Grill closes

A baker’s dozen: Rotolo’s Pizzeria plans to add two new locations to its chain this year, bringing the total numbers of the popular pizza parlor up to 13. The new Prairieville location is set to open in September, across from the Super Wal-Mart, while the Millerville location’s projected opening is summer of 2010. (File photo) No need to cope: You may have heard about Superior Restaurant Group replacing the old Copeland’s building on St. Charles with a seafood restaurant, but Baton Rouge diners worried about losing our Cheesecake Bistro have nothing to fear. Bobby Kirchoff, owner of Superior Grill in Baton Rouge, says he has no plans to try anything similar in this market, although they will be watching the situation in Nola closely. Shuttering the Grill: Fish City Grill in Perkins Rowe has closed, adding a footnote to the location’s troubled reputation. Officials with Fish City, a Dallas-based chain, cited ongoing problems with Perkins Rowe as reason for the restaurant’s performance, although officials with JTS, who developed Perkins Rowe, said many restaurants in the area where performing at or above expectations. A new tenant for Fish City’s site should be announced in the coming weeks. 225 Dine will keep you posted.
