You will believe a fairy can fly

You’ve never seen Peter Pan quite like this. The Baton Rouge Gallery will screen a little-known silent-film adaptation of the classic J.M. Barrie play this Saturday as part of their Movies & Music on the Lawn series. This long-lost film, recently selected for preservation by the Library of Congress, is a true gem of early motion picture innovation. Featuring impressive special effects (for 1924, at least)—and a score performed live by local group The (New) Zeelanders—this is one experience you can’t put on your Netflix queue. Show begins at 8 p.m., or sundown, whichever comes last. Check batonrougegallery.org for details.
