Photorealist Chuck Close’s exhibit opens

Start 2009 with a big bang by welcoming the latest LASM exhibition from famed large-scale photorealist Chuck Close. The artist’s A Couple Ways of Doing Something is a unique collection of digital pigment prints, tapestries and photogravures featuring his notable circle of creative friends. A Bob Holman poem accompanies each of Close’s pieces. The exhibit runs Jan. 17 to March 15. LASM visitors can see the exhibit Thursday for the museum’s Fine Art, Fine Wine at 7 p.m. $5 for members; $10 for non-members. (Courtesy Pace/Macgill, New York)
