The Unborn scares theaters Friday

Studios always roll out a horror flick smack dab in the middle of the early January Christmas/New Year’s hangover when everyone is back at work and wants an escapist thrill. Now, The Dark Knight co-creator David Goyer brings us The Unborn, a supernatural, Exorcist-like horror show starring Cloverfield’s Odette Yustman as a woman whose stillborn twin brother returns to haunt her. Yustman must figure out a way to cast out the spirit before it overtakes her completely. Gary Oldman, Carla Gugino and Idris Elba co-star. Rated PG-13. (Courtesy Rogue Pictures)
