Hispanic woman shares perspective at diversity lunch

Jessica Venegas, who works to fight homelessness through UNITY of Greater New Orleans, is the guest speaker for Forum 35’s cultural diversity lecture series. In her talk, “The American Experience: One Latina’s Perspective,” she’ll ask people in Baton Rouge, Hispanic and not, what their perceptions are of one another. “It is so rare that people are able to engage in an open forgivable forum to discuss different cultures,” Venegas says. 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lyceum Dean downtown.
