Renowned NYC poet the star of LSU poetry slam

It’s the closest thing to Def Poetry Jam the LSU campus will get. Shihan the Poet, a native of New York’s Lower East Side who appeared on all four seasons of Russell Simmons’ Def Poetry, visits LSU’s Annual Poetry Slam. Shihan will perform “Flashy Words” tonight at 7 p.m. in the Student Union Magnolia Room.
