Arts Market turns 10 Saturday
It seems just like yesterday about 10 artists set up shop next to the Red Stick Farmers Market on Saturday mornings by the Municipal Building. A decade later the Baton Rouge Arts Market, thanks to the Arts Council, has seen more than 200 juried artists swing through. Celebrate 10 years Saturday morning with birthday cupcakes, music by The Sax Project and “throw” pots. Early holiday shoppers can find jewelry, mixed media, hand-blown glass, pottery, soaps, birdhouses, the list goes on. Pick up some satsumas at the Farmers Market while you’re there. The Arts Market happens the first Saturday of each month and the first three Saturdays in December. 9 a.m. to noon at Fifth and Main Streets.
