The Rocker rolls today

Who would have thought nerdy office drone, Dwight, would have been the perfect star of a School of Rock/The Commitments hybrid that just may come out of nowhere to earn summer sleeper hit status? The Office’s Rainn Wilson plays something akin to the Spinal Tap drummer that didn’t die but instead lives in obscurity, still dreaming of MTV and sold-out stadium gigs. His second chance at rock stardom comes when his nephew’s band needs a replacement drummer. Still equipped with his 1980s spandex get-ups and hair band attitude, Wilson joins the much younger group ready to rock, whether they are ready for him or not.
