Class teaches children the ABCs of table manners

Please pass the green beans, boys and girls. A class on good table manners is a useful opportunity to sharpen your social skills, something that shockingly has been lost among many successful adults in Baton Rouge. Learn the art of setting the table, seating ladies, eating finger food and all-around dining courtesy (hopefully there’s a lesson on cell phone usage and not talking with your mouth full). Children ages 7-12 can sign up for the two-hour class Saturday, Aug. 9 at Whole Foods Market. A manners seminar for teens will be Aug. 16. Noon to 2 p.m. Hosted by Polished to the T Etiquette, Dining & Dance, tickets are $30.
