Road trip: Werner Herzog in N.O. for documentary screening

Werner Herzog, award-winning director of Rescue Dawn and Grizzly Man, will be in New Orleans this Saturday, screening his new documentary on Antarctica, Encounters at the End of the World. The preview screening at the Prytania Theatre in the uptown area benefits the New Orleans Film Society, which is hosting a French Film Festival all weekend. Herzog, accompanied by his longtime collaborator and cinematographer Peter Zeitlinger, will answer questions after the screening. 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.
