The Producers opening gala kicks off theater season

Summertime is the official start of the local performing arts season and Baton Rouge Little Theater is kicking things off in star-studded style. The 2008-09 season pays homage to Hollywood with the best of film on stage, including productions of Chicago and Singin’ in the Rain. The 2008 summer musical production of The Producers will jumpstart the season with a three-week run of Mel Brooks’ zany comedy. In conjunction with opening night July 3, BRLT will host a fundraising gala “A Night on the Red Carpet” to benefit the theater.
