Banned in some Mid-East nations, Persepolis DVD out now

Set in 1970s Iran, this Oscar-nominated animated feature tells the story of Marji Statrapi, a teenage girl who witnesses the Islamic fundamentalist revolution of 1979 and flees to Vienna to attend college and forge a better life. Persepolis is both a history lesson and a touching coming-of-age story that has been banned in some Middle Eastern countries. Rated PG-13.
