A-lister’s Kung Fu Panda hits theaters Friday

This animated comedy has slipped under the pop culture radar so far this summer movie season, which is a shame because the premise is hilarious, and Dreamworks has the cast to back it up. Jack Black stars as a lazy panda (is there any other kind?) unwittingly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy and set on the path to become a kung fu master. Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman and Angelina Jolie also lend their voices. Rated PG.
