Blind photographer exhibits at Brunner Gallery
The Brunner Gallery is hosting an exhibition of photographs by New Orleans piano legend Henry Butler through May 24. Butler, who lost his sight to glaucoma at a young age, creates images with a surreal, otherworldly quality using a photographic assistant and feedback from known and unknown viewers. On display are never-before-seen images from his “Hawaii Series” and a collection of images of world famous musicians who have collaborated with Butler.
