Chef John Folse combats hunger with “Empty Bowls”
No one will go to bed with an empty bowl if Chef John Folse has anything to say about it. On Thursday, Feb. 28 he’s teaming up with area students for the fifth-annual “Empty Bowls” event in the Student Center at the Louisiana School for the Deaf. Chicken and sausage gumbo will be served from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and a silent auction will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Proceeds will go to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and the St. Vincent de Paul Dining Room.
