Sip & Savor: DiGiulio Bros. Italian Cafe brings family recipes to the table

Sponsored by DiGiulio Bros. Italian Cafe

Some of Baton Rouge’s favorite meals come with a little family history. Since opening on Perkins Road in 1987, DiGiulio Bros. Italian Cafe has carried on recipes inspired by Gramma, who once rolled ravioli from scratch for her four grandsons. Today, the family-run restaurant continues serving authentic Italian flavors with the kind of hospitality that keeps guests coming back.

Dinner favorites include chicken picatta with lemon, butter and capers, shrimp à la vodka in a spicy tomato cream sauce, and spaghetti with homemade meatballs and marinara. Start with a caprese salad or fried calamari, then finish with a classic cannoli filled with sweetened ricotta and chocolate chips.

For a fun twist, the cocktail menu features creative options like Kiss Me, I’m Italian, made with vodka, tiramisu liqueur, mascarpone and cold brew.
