Listen to live jazz music Wednesday 

This Wednesday, Oct. 7, the River City Jazz Masters series brings the Alfredo Rodriguez Band, featuring Pedrito Martinez, to Manship Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

Presented by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, the River City Jazz Masters series celebrates its 20th anniversary this season.

Attend Knock Knock Children’s Museum’s grown-up gala Thursday

Knock Knock Children’s Museum’s Storybook Soiree fundraiser offers a magical grown-up gala inspired by King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table on Thursday, Oct. 8.

From 7 to 10 p.m., this annual fundraiser features food, drinks, live music and an opportunity to dress up and play pretend.

Go to an art gallery reception Thursday

Attend the reception for the LSU Galleries’ new exhibition, “Intelligent Worlds: Celebrating LSU Printmaking Alumni,” on Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Gallery at Manship Theatre.

This exhibition is organized in conjunction with “Printelligence,” the 2026 Mid America Print Council Conference hosted by LSU School of Art & LSU College of Art & Design.

The reception is free and will last from 6 to 8 p.m. The Gallery at Manship Theatre is located at 100 Lafayette St. 


Rock out at Perkins Rowe Thursday 

Rock N Rowe continues its fall series with a performance by Lee Serio Band on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to snag a spot in front of the stage at Perkins Rowe’s Town Square.
