Picnic in the moonlight at Full Moon Feast at Capitol Park Museum Oct. 6

Bask in the moonlight with a picnic under the stars at Full Moon Feast tomorrow, Oct. 6.

Historically, the full moon has been a time of enjoyment and this inaugural event, hosted by Capitol Park Museum, is posed to be no different. The community is encouraged to gather with friends and loved ones “in the energy of this Harvest Moon” with a moonlight picnic on the lawn.

Bring your own picnic basket or purchase a picnic package from Magpie Cafe, Bergeron’s City Market, Heirloom Cuisine or Indie Plate. Cocktails and wine pairings from Blend’s head sommelier Scott Higgins will also be available for purchase.

The event will also feature a performance by jazz artist Quiana Lynell.

Tables, chairs and linens will be available for rent, or you can bring your own. Please come dressed in the twilight shades of the moon.

Tickets are $50 each, with proceeds benefiting the museum. Purchase your ticket here.

The moonrise is expected at 7:44 p.m., but the event will be held 6-9 p.m. Capitol Park Museum is at 660 N. Fourth St.
