Retro, summer-ready glassware for your home cocktail party

Home entertaining in the mid-20th century was an art form, if the plethora of sleek midcentury bar carts and credenzas crowding antique shops is any indication. Also in ample supply: colorful vintage highball glass sets. If you were planning to serve up a Tom Collins or Sloe Gin Fizz at your 1950s-era party, nothing but fancy highball glasses would do, so a six- or eight-count set was perfect for serving drinks to coworkers and friends.

Dreaming of the Mad Men days, we spotted these brightly etched vintage glasses—just right for a summertime party—at a couple of Baton Rouge antique shops. They come in full sets, some even with accessories, and they just brush the surface of what’s available on your next antiquing excursion around town. Even if your cocktail party setting is a bit more modern and your bartending skills need practice, at least the drinks will look cool.
