BistroByronz is a Louisiana Bistro (bistro: an unpretentious neighborhood restaurant where people gather day and night to relax, share conversation and enjoy good food at a reasonable price). From the bistro-casual eat-in and take-out lunch menu, to the new bistro-fare and full-service dinner and drinks experience, BistroByronz has the perfect recipe that combines what was good about the original Byronz with what’s real good about a classic French bistro, topped off with some of that special Louisiana spice. Many of the original Byronz favorite dishes are back - like Byronz bread, fresh and hot sandwiches (the Big Byronz), savory soups (Corn and Shrimp), special salads (the Byronz Chef), decadent deserts (Heavenly Hash) and home-fried to order potato chips. Along with all of that, we’ve taken it up a notch, with our dinner menu of “Good. Real Good” food—from Steak Frites, to Chicken Paillard, Sesame-crusted Tuna and beaucoup more. Not to mention our BistroBar, which will offer our one-of-a-kind ByronzFreeze, a large selection of wines by the glass, and of course, real cold beer on tap.

I really like the feel of this restaurant. It is a neighborhood restaurant with a more laid back feel than most neighborhoold restaurants and I have enjoyed most of my 8-10 visits. The menu is somewhat eclectic and the food is pretty good, with a nice selection at lunch, with a very similar menu at dinner. They have an excellent wine list, both by the glass and by the bottle, and good wine prices for a restaurant. The only true disappointment I have had has been their service. They seem to have hired great people, but they all see to be tense and poorly trained. I have not received good service on any of my visits, when comparing the service I receive here to similar restaurants. I still return to this restaurant, but I have friends who refuse to go back. I do hope they will fix this problem.

There is absolutely no other restuarant in Baton Rouge comparable to this. I have waited and waited for Baton Rouge to finally get a top quality restaurant that is more than just a fancy name or a million dollar renovation downtown.
I lived in New York for 6 years, and let me tell you. Bistro Byronz has captured the feel and ambiance of a true bistro. The decor alone is interesting and inviting, and there is just something that happens when you walk through the doors that just makes you feel like you have left normal Louisiana for a while. The subway tile and beautifully lit bar compliment the authentic t copper tin roof reminescent of old New York and Paris. Even the tables are perfectly detailed, roughly stained and imperfectly perfect, if that makes sense. They have really done a great job of operating as a buzzling lunch metropolis as well as a trendy nighttime dinner stop, filled with ambiance and welcoming to both families and singles looking for a social scene. And then there is the food. I can find something I hate at every restaurant. Not here. Everything I have had in my 14 visits in the past three months has been unbelievable. THey have even found a way for me to love blue cheese, smothered on top of there home fried potato chips. Trust me on this one, have the pot roast or avacado sandwich for lunch, stop in for dinner and have the tenderloin tail steaks, and you will never, and I mean never, settle for one of the fake new restaurants in Baton Rouge again. One more thing, each time I go, it is more and more crowded. I think Baton Rouge is really catching on about this place. So if you dont want to wait, you better go soon.

Love the NY vibe this restaurant has. Love the Shrimp soup and the Avacado sandwich-they are my favorites at Byronz.
The Byronz burger is yummy but last time I ordered it lacked seasoning-now I am afraid to try it again. Food needs to taste good consistently-hope they are listening.

My friend and I ate here about a month ago. And we were both impressed with the atmosphere (not your typical so. la. decor) and the food. I had the pot roast and it reminded me so much of my Mom's. (My favorite). It was delicious and truly a comfort food. It's definitely worth a try. We will go back again.

THIS PLACE IS GREAT! THEY PROVIDE SUCH A UNIQUE ATMOSPHERE WHICH IS GREAT FOR AN INTIMATE DATE OR FOR GIRLFRIENDS TO SIT AND HAVE AN ENJOYABLE DINNER. THEY OFFER A NICE WINE SELECTION ALONG WITH A VERY UNIQUE MENU. THE FOOD CHOICES ARE VERY INTERESTING AND THE TASTE WILL LEAVE YOUR MOUTH HAPPY! ALTHOUGH THE SERVICE IS LACKING AT TIMES, IT HAS NOT KEPT ME AWAY. PS. THE BLUECHEESE CHIPS ARE AMAZING!!!!
