Description: Winner of a record 12 Tony Awards including Best Musical, 'The Producers' is based on Mel Brooks' classic 1968 film comedy. Max Bialystock, a down-on-his-luck theatrical producer, teams with meek accountant Leo Bloom. Together they fabricate the perfect scam. The two intend to raise more money than they actually need to produce a play that is sure to bomb on Broadway and then pocket the difference. The product of their plot is a musical called 'Springtime for Hitler.' With a wealth of irreverent songs by Mel Brooks and book by Thomas Meehan, 'The Producers' will have audiences rolling in the aisles.
