Description: Dee Scallan brings the imaginative and interactive adventures of Moby Pincher to Baton Rouge Gallery July 22. Created for preschool and kindergarten children, students are engaged in the adventures of local crawfish Moby Pincher as he learns about Louisiana's culture, history and geography.
Owner of a private pre-school for over twenty-five years, Ms. Scallan aims to ignite children's imagination by actively involving them in the art of storytelling. Costumes, a wonderful set and a lively program have awarded the Moby Pincher series a wealth of praise and awards. Moby Pincher's interactive reading is based off the "Crawfish Tales" book collection, illustrated by former student and Baton Rouge resident, Daniel Myers. Myers began drawing the images for Moby Pincher at age 8 and continues to illustrate the books three years after their debut. Both Myers and Ms. Scallan were rewarded by the Louisiana State Department of Education for their unique and engaging series.
Baton Rouge Gallery invites children and their parents to attend this unique Sundays@4.
