A must visit place for those traveling to Louisiana for the first time. While I consider it a tourist mecca very good food is served. The live Cajun music and dancing cap off the perfect atmosphere.

Nice little place for a quick breakfast. I have stopped many times for the breakfast buffet. A tad "pricey" for the atmosphere but some great food. Many think this is just a bakery and don't realize you can get a great meal there as well.

As you may have read in my previous review of the establishment we were less than enthused with our dining experience at K Michaels. In all fairness we decided to give it another shot. I had every intention of ordering the same entrée again but noticed that the menu had been totally reworked. We were informed by the server that there was a new Chef. The Stuffed Trout was no longer on the menu as well as the Prime Rib. Oh well, let's try something else.
I am not going to dwell too deep into our visit but will say that we were blown away by our meals. We were in a group of four. Three ordered the Filet and I ordered the Pepper Encrusted Tuna. Each meal was perfect in every way. The filet's were all cooked perfectly and the sides perfect as well from presentation to serving temperature.
My tuna was cooked perfectly as well. While I didn't care for the Sweet Corn Coulis, trust me, this was a personal taste issue only and I am in no way knocking the meal about it. I am not a big fan of corn dishes. I was also distracted toward my Wife's plate after I tasted the herb and garlic potato daphenua that was served with her Filet. This is an absolutely fabulous dish and I was sort of jealous that I didn't get to enjoy my own portion with my meal.
My only minor issue was service was very slow but we did have a new server (I believe it might of been her first day) who seemed a little stressed at times but she never lost her smile or enthusiasm.
Overall, my first disappointing dining experience has been negated by my follow up visit. I was recently contacted by email from the new chef as a follow up regarding my previous poor experience asking me to give it another shot. This served as a reminder that I had indeed already dined again (not knowing about the new chef) and I needed to post my updated review.
All I can really say is kudos to the establishment, Chef Phillip, and the new server who I wish I could remember her name. We will return to enjoy again. Keep up the good work and we'll see you soon.

We dined at the Kona Grill approximately a month ago. I was one of the best meals out we have experienced in a very long time. My Wife and I both had the Fillet which was perfect. Neither are Sushi fans but we both were blown away by the Albacore Tataki. I am a convert now. The Passion Fruit Creme Brulee for desert was one of the finest creme brulee's I have ever experienced. We will definitely return. Service was top notch and the prices were very fair for the quality meal we enjoyed.

Dined here for the first (and probably last) time this weekend. We really anticipated dining here but sadly, we were disappointed. The staff was pretty proud if their place and guaranteed I would love it. Sadly, they were grossly mistaken.
This was the first restaurant I have ever had to send my meal back. I have had bad meals before but have always been able to choke them down. Sadly, this was not the case during my experience. I ordered the Stuffed Trout that was presented to me charred burnt on the bottom. The mashed potatoes were ice cold. The stuffing in the fish was good and the vegetables were great.
I sent the meal back and was then presented with a very well cooked fish but the stuffing for the fish was so overpowering with lemon I could taste nothing else. Think biting into a fresh lemon and that is what I tasted. The potatoes were actually warm and tasty but the vegetables were a slimy, nasty tasting and visually looking mess on the plate. In total, I took about 3-4 bites of this meal and pushed the plate away. In fairness, everyone else in the family seemed to have a decent meal although nothing memorable.
I think the prices were outrageous for what was served though. Ten dollar Martini's that are very small. Fifteen dollar appetizers that are small for even a party of two. Simply using the term "Upscale" doesn't justify the price if the quality doesn't match.
In fairness, I may try this establishment once more to assure my experience just wasn't a fluke. But in reality if I am served a bad dish, send it back and it comes back with an entirely different set of issues, I will have to think twice. I have no problem paying $$$ for a fine meal but even the meals the rest of the family received that were fine came nowhere close to the quality expected for the price paid.

The Chime (both locations) is one of our favorite spots to dine in Baton Rouge. I originally went in for the beer. I am a craft and import beer freak. I was quite surprised to find that great food (and service) is served as well. The only thing they could do to improve is to add MORE import/craft beers to the draught list. 45 beers on tap is not enough for me.
