See a 22-foot working sugar mill model, the c.1850 Allendale Slave Cabin and the c.1830 Aillet House, French-creole plantation 'big house.' A unique Louisiana experience is available to visitors of the West Baton Rouge Museum who want to learn the story behind plantation life, its culture, and its impressive technology.
