Open Tues.-Sat., 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Sun. 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Guided tours of historic sugar plantation buildings, and free lagniappe samples of locally-produced Louisiana raw sugar for every visitor! See a 22-foot working sugar mill model, the c.1850 Allendale Slave Cabin and the c.1830 Aillet House, French-creole plantation 'big house.' A unique Louisiana experience is available to visitors of the West Baton Rouge Museum who want to learn the story behind plantation life, its culture, and its impressive technology. Admission charged.
