“The word ‘kinetic’ comes to mind when I think of art in Baton Rouge. Here, art evolves. As a newcomer, born in Houston but recently relocated from Burlington, Vt., I chose to be a part of this community because it reflects dedication to practice. Most of the artists I know here, myself included, are compulsive about working and being in the studio. This community is hungry for and open to new aesthetics and concepts. Here, artists, collectors and supporters are all about the art and less about the scene. This is rare, and I am excited to be included in it.”
