Aussie folkster Ben Lee, Garden State crooner Cary Brothers and pop starlett Kate Voegele keep things hush hush Dec. 4 for a singer-songwriter showdown at New Orleans House of Blues Parish Room.
What’s it like to play blinding blues guitar for Mick Fleetwood, Spencer Davis, Albert King and Michael Jackson? And not for the creepy time Invincible tour, either. We’re talking primetime Thriller era here, people. Only Gregg Wright knows, and on Dec. 7 the left-handed Stratocaster master brings his blues-rock band to the Manship Theatre.
And on Dec. 15, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band hauls its traveling New Orleans jazz and R&B funk fest to Chelsea’s Café.
