A collection of 50 mixed-media works dating from the 1970s to 2004 by renowned artist Howardena Pindell is on display now through April 7 at the Louisiana Art and Science Museum. Ethiopian-born, Los Angeles-based collector Alitash Kebede loaned more than 70 works of art by 39 of the most important modern and contemporary African-American artists to the LSU Museum of Art. The exhibition hangs through May 6. And if it’s performance art you’re into, the HopKins Black Box Theatre presents Exploring Feminisms: the Fragmented Identities of Madwomen Feb. 3 and Feb. 4.
