Driving down Jeferson in search of sassy tops, designer jeans and funky jewelry, you decide to stop at boutique bella bella. But which one?
It seems like a strange flaw in the time-space continuum—you are literally surrounded by bella bellas—or would that be bellas bella?
One side of the street harbors the older location, next to Serop’s. And there, next to Brew Ha! Ha! across the street, is a second bella bella.
“I needed more space to grow my business, and it is much more convenient for my customers to shop both sides of the street,” says owner Elise Decoteau.
So she turned the location into what she calls “bargain bella,” only selling sale merchandise. For newer trends, shoppers need only hop across Jefferson to the newer location. At first, the situation was temporary, but now both are permanent.
“Of course we get questions,” she says. “But once we tell them it’s a ‘bargain bella’...they shop both sides of the street.”
