A new bar with more than 100 beers on tap opened over the holidays. Corporate Brew & Draft opened in late December next door to The Cove at Citiplace Court. General manager Jeff Barnett says the new bar has 102 beers on tap with 33 of those dedicated to breweries from Louisiana and Mississippi.
The idea behind Corporate Brew & Draft comes from The Cove owner Tom Ange, who saw a demand for a non-smoking draft beer room for his customers. While The Cove used to have something similar to Corporate Brew & Draft within its space, Ange got a good deal on the space next door and fully developed a bigger biergarten.

In the future, Corporate Brew & Draft is working on an expanded menu that will serve German-themed menu items such as bratwurst. The owners are also planning a patio space. For now, the bar has room for around 100 patrons, a pool room and arcade.
Though the new bar is still in its soft-opening phase, Barnett says a grand opening is slated for Thursday, Jan. 22. He is currently working with local breweries to collaborate on artwork and signage for the interior and says the event will feature special kegs.
Corporate Brew & Draft is open Monday-Saturday 2 p.m.-2 a.m. and Sundays noon-midnight. Get more information.
