Kathy Mangham is getting back into serving lunch.

The owner and chef behind the catering service Gourmet Girls has started Dutch Lunch, a lunch service named after the Dutch door Mangham has installed at her space at 3025 Perkins Road. Hours for Dutch Lunch will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Each day will feature a rotating menu of sandwiches, salads and desserts.

Thursday’s menu will feature tamales and banh mi poboys. Tuesday’s menu included honey-lime tequila tacos. Customers can expect variations on veggie stacks, hummus plates and lasagna.

The to-go style business isn’t Mangham’s first foray into lunchtime service. Last year, she was part of the food truck Pronto, which was set up outside Gourmet Girls and featured fresh lunch items not unlike what she’s serving with Dutch Lunch.

Though she and then-business partner Hayden Phares eventually closed the food truck, Mangham says she’s hopeful the lunch service will last through the summer, at which point she will evaluate its success.

“Hopefully, it will evolve,” she says. “I have no expectations going into this, but so far my phone has been ringing off the hook.”

Due to her catering service, Mangham says business hours are subject to change. With items being pre-made for each day, some options might run out quicker than others. The food ranges in price from $5-$12. Menu options will be available by 9 a.m. on the Gourmet Girls’ Instagram account (@gourmetgirls).
