Description: The LSU Museum of Art and the Manship Theatre will present the sixth film in the Frame to Frame series, Anchors Aweigh, on Thursday, September 25th in conjunction with the featured exhibition, American Masters From The Blanton Museum of Art’s Mari & James A. Michener Collection.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a toast to the exhibition and a tour of the museum followed by the 7:30 p.m. film screening in the Manship Theatre. The LSU Museum of Art in collaboration with Manship Theatre is proud to present this classic comedy starring Frank Sinatra, Kathryn Grayson, and Gene Kelly.

Anchors Aweigh is a 1945 musical comedy film, directed by George Sidney in which two sailors go on a four-day shore leave in Hollywood, accompanied by music and song, meet an aspiring young singer and try to help her get an audition at MGM.
