Description: Sue Owen, who has taught as Poet-in-Residence at LSU will be reading from her fourth poetry book, The Devil’s Cookbook (LSU Press, 2007) at the Gallery’s Sundays @4 program April 15.
In her latest literary contribution, Owen turns proverbial sayings (in "Getting to the Point," "Until Hell Freezes Over," or "If the Other Shoe Drops") into fully developed parables that examine and elaborate upon the assumptions most people make. The fare in hell’s kitchen derives from wisdom and insight to create another delicious feast of words by Sue Owen.
