Description: Due to the enormous response to Christy Diniz Liffmann’s encaustic series exhibited last February, Baton Rouge Gallery is proud to offer a demonstration of Liffmann’s skill. The public is invited to attend an encaustic demonstration April 14, 9 a.m. to noon.
Participants will be able to better understand the intensive and intriguing nature of encaustic painting, first-hand. Liffmann will offer three hours of demonstration that will include application techniques, a history of encaustic media as well as a personal encaustic print for each attendee. For forty-five dollars participants will experience a rare and intimate look at an ancient art form from an artist with over twenty years of experience.
