Description: Wednesdays Beginning September 20, 5:30–7pm
This group is for women who have experienced the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Wellness is defined in the dictionary as “the quality or state of being in good health, especially as an actively sought goal.” In this group participants will share their stories to get to know each other. During this process participants will be reminded that it is common to wonder, “Does this pain I’m feeling or does this spot on my leg mean my cancer is returning?” After a short meditation participants will discuss insights using simple drawings or the sand tray. This will be the group’s way of “actively seeking wellness.” As the group progresses each member will discover her own definition of wellness.
Facilitated by Carol Harrison, MA in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy.
$5 donation requested per group meeting. Maximum of 8 participants.
