Description: Madewood Plantation House, a National Historic Landmark located on historic Bayou Lafourche between Thibodaux and Donaldsonville, presents A Family Celebration of the Musical Arts in Louisiana. This event is a successor of the acclaimed Madewood Arts Festival, which presented operas and concert performances in the ambiance of the Greek-Revival mansion. A highlight of the afternoon events will be a performance by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring thirteen-year-old Holly Stell, Anthony Laciura, and Schubert's Unfinished Symphony, an inspiration for the work that remains in rebuilding the arts in Louisiana. Call 985 369 7151 or visit our website at www.madewood.com.
