Description: Madewood Plantation House, a National Historic Landmark located on historic Bayou Lafourche between Thibodaux and Donaldsonville, presents A Family Celebration of the Musical Arts in Louisiana. This event is a successor of the acclaimed Madewood Arts Festival, which presented operas and concert performances in the ambiance of the Greek-Revival mansion. A highlight of the afternoon events will be a performance by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring thirteen-year-old Holly Stell, Anthony Laciura, and Schubert's Unfinished Symphony, an inspiration for the work that remains in rebuilding the arts in Louisiana.
