Description: Students on Target’s (SOT) annual wellness festival and concert will take place on Friday, March 24, at the Louisiana State University Parade Ground. The concert will feature four acts: Puddle of Mudd, Lyfe Jennings, Josh Turner and A Soup Named Stew. In addition to SOT’s festival and concert, Marcus Engel, motivational speaker, will give a talk on substance abuse prevention Thursday, March 23, at 6 pm in the Union Colonnade.
On the day of the concert SOT will transform LSU’s Parade Ground into an upbeat wellness festival. Activities will include a drunk-driving simulator, Dance Dance Revolution, 3-D Miniature Golf, a giant slide and various other activities. “We’ve worked hard on the festival so that we can get our message across while entertaining our campus community,” said Mary Zura, Festival Co-Chairperson, “our job is to show students that they can have a good time without using alcohol.”
Wellness festival is scheduled from noon to 3:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 6:30 p.m.
