Sherwood Middle Academic Magnet School is the highest ranking middle school in EBRPSS, serving 6th -8th grade students in a diverse setting. Their advanced curriculum is aligned with national, state, and local standards. Instruction delivered by their teachers is facilitated at a more rigorous level than traditional middle schools in the state reflecting their magnet theme of high school preparatory and college/career readiness academics. Advanced core courses are designed to meet their students on their varied academic levels. Being that they draw students from over 60 elementary schools, they ensure success for all students by enrolling students in core and elective classes based on individual readiness levels. Their mission is to empower their students with academic knowledge and skills necessary to successfully handle a rigorous high school preparatory and college/career readiness curriculum.
