About
The Brighton School is a Kindergarten through 12th grade school for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. Their highly qualified certified teachers and academic therapists incorporate a multi-sensory approach to teaching throughout all areas of learning and across all grade levels. Brighton’s four pronged approach to supporting their students focuses on therapeutic reading instruction for dyslexia and language-based learning differences, on academic growth and development, on social-emotional skills for success in school, and on executive function skills that will support them in school and beyond. The Brighton School is committed to a small student to teacher ratio so the needs of their individual students can be met. Moving as fast as they can but as slow as they need, the faculty and staff of The Brighton School strives to prepare their students for whatever their next step might be after graduating with a Louisiana diploma. The Brighton School is a fully accredited institution by the State of Louisiana and by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (AdvancEd).
