Greater Baton Rouge Hope Academy
Greater Baton Rouge Hope Academy is a non-profit K-12 private school for students who learn differently, providing “Unique Solutions for Unique Learners.” K-12 and Practical Academics and Community Education (PACE) classes are provided. For older students, a functional Life Skills lab is available through age 21. Bridges Learning Solutions, an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) clinic,
providing insurance-based therapy for students with autism is located on the campus. At Hope Academy, they understand that each child is different, with individual needs, strengths, and interests both within and beyond the classroom.
They begin with the Diagnostic-Prescriptive approach: a thorough assessment of your child identifies the specific areas of strengths, weaknesses and learning styles. Hope Academy implements a flexible instructional curriculum as unique as its learners. In a sensitive, compassionate, and nurturing environment, they offer unique solutions to help each student advance academically, socially, and emotionally. Individual goals and objectives are set for each child with continuous monitoring guiding instruction.
They understand and accept their challenges. They focus on their strengths and capabilities. And they utilize learning strategies to enhance and enrich their lives. With an individualized approach, they make the curriculum fit the child, rather than forcing the child to fit the curriculum.
