Some of the local bars, breweries and restaurants hosting events and drink specials for St. Patrick’s Day

Uncle Earl’s

Join the Perkins Road bar Uncle Earl’s starting at 7 a.m. March 18 for an all-day festival of beer, food and music. The bar, close to the terminus of the Wearin’ of the Green parade, will offer a lineup of bands to watch while you sip on one of its 24 beers on tap and grab food from local food trucks. facebook.com/UncleEarlsBar

The Overpass Merchant

The Overpass Merchant will be hosting a whiskey dinner with Bushmills on March 15 to start the holiday off early. Over the weekend, the restaurant—right in the middle of all the parade action—will hold events daily. Friday, March 17, the parade pre-party starts in the evening, and the parade-day party starts 8 a.m. March 18. Both parties will involve an outdoor beer garden and live music. If you’re not exhausted yet, head back Sunday, March 19, for an Irish brunch. Customers can order from the usual menu, as well as some Irish-inspired specials. The Overpass Merchant’s brunch begins at 11 a.m.

Tin Roof Brewing Co.

If you’re looking to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early, join Tin Roof and the Baton Rouge Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for “Pints for a Purpose.” On March 16, 7-10 p.m., at the brewery, help a cause through purchasing a “Little Leprechaun” or “Pot of Gold” VIP ticket. The “Little Leprechaun” ticket is $25 per person and gives guests two beers and a food ticket. The “Pot of Gold” VIP ticket is $50 per person and offers unlimited beer, food and a “Pints for a Purpose” souvenir pint glass.

Happy’s Irish Pub

After all the parading, head downtown for the bar’s extensive beer list and a performance by Jukebox Heroes on the back patio from 8:30 p.m.-1 a.m. Happy’s will offer drink specials throughout the day, like $2 green Pabst Blue Ribbons, $2 Guinness pints, $2 Jameson shots, $5 Irish Car Bombs and $5 Happy Hooligans. happysirishpub.com

Southern Craft Brewing Co.

Southern Craft will release its “Green” Swamp Sting just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. The brewery’s Swamp Sting is a light honey ale, but for the holiday, the brewery has added a green tint. The brew will be available at some of the bars and restaurants along the parade route, as well as the Southern Craft taproom on Airline Highway. socraftbeer.com
