Hot off the boudin king cake craze that’s taking over south Louisiana, Tiger Deaux-nuts is offering patrons its own take on the delight. Savoie’s celebrates 60 years
What started as a country store in Opelousas in 1955 has grown into a multimillion-dollar Cajun food empire. Savoie’s, a food company that features sausages, roux and rice dressing mixes, is celebrating 60 years in business. The company currently boasts 110 employees and locations in Opelousas, Church Point and New Iberia. Savoie’s is now working to expand distribution to grocery stores in Florida and Georgia.
