In an interview with Business Report, Mooyah Burgers and Fries franchisee Chick Kerr revealed his big plans for the Capital City.
“My goal was to come into the Baton Rouge metropolitan area and have three stores open within three years,” he says. “I don’t know if I’ll hit that goal, but we are on track.”

With his wife Denise, Kerr opened the first Louisiana Mooyah on Siegen Lane. Currently, the couple is making plans for a second location. Kerr hints that it may come in summer 2015. Following stints in the military and time as a Subway franchisee in Oklahoma, the couple could be on to something in Baton Rouge.
“We’ve been the No. 1 Mooyah store almost exclusively since we opened,” Kerr says. “That is, in the whole country. I’ve spoken with many potential Mooyah franchisees across the country. They want to find out what we are doing. I don’t think we are doing anything magical; I think we are doing things how they are supposed to be done.”
