Tabelog, a self-described “online community for foodies, by foodies,” has ranked The Rum House—which has locations in New Orleans and Baton Rouge—as having the best tacos in America. “Their menu uses all the best flavors of the islands to create mouth-watering tacos you can’t find anywhere else,” the website says of The Rum House. “The top sellers here are the Calypso Beef with lime cream, the Chili Glazed Shrimp with fried shrimp and rum chili glaze, and the Jerk Chicken with mango salsa.” Tabelog’s top 11 tacos in America list includes restaurants and food trucks from across the country. Lay’s fan-voting flavor contest is back
Lay’s flavor contest, Do Us A Flavor, has returned. Voting began this week to see which new Lay’s chip will be on store shelves. This year’s finalists are Southern Biscuits and Gravy, Wavy West Coast Truffle Fries, New York Reuben and Kettle Cooked Greektown Gyro. The winning flavor creator will also get $1 million. Chip lovers can now vote on their favorite flavors. The four flavors are also available in stores for a limited time. Last year’s winner was Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger.
