Opening and closing night films plus six more announced for third annual festival

If the first few titles to come from the Louisiana International Film Festival’s (LIFF) 2015 slate are any indication, then the festival’s third year will be its biggest and best yet.

According to an article from Indiewire.com, the new Melissa McCarthy comedy Spy will kick off the Capital City film festival on May 7. This screening will be nearly a month before its theatrical date. The article also states that this year’s LIFF closer will be Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, a drama that took home the 2015 Sundance Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award.

This year’s LIFF festivities run May 7-10 at Cinemark Perkins Rowe. All access passes, priced at $100, are available now. Lower tier tickets and more information will be available at a later date, leading up to the festival.
